IT'S ALL ABOUT ACTION

This one is for active adventurers. Extended hikes, snowshoeing, enhanced photography excursions, overnight sea kayaking and ski touring are all available.

Itinerary

Met upon arrival in Ushuaia, transfer to hotel for pre cruise accomodation.

Your eyes will be eagerly drawn to the pier where your ship will be waiting. There are many places to explore in town and we also recommend a tour to nearby Tierra del Fuego National Park. This afternoon meet your fellow passengers and transfer to the ship.

The anticipation grows as we cross the Drake Passage, edging closer to the white continent. As we cross these fabled waters, our on board naturalists spend time on deck looking for whales, and leading lively discussions about the marine life of the Antarctic.

In the waterways of the Antarctic Peninsula, we explore twice daily by inflatable Zodiacs. Planned excursions may include Neko Harbour, Wilhelmina Bay and the southerly Petermann Island, where we will observe Weddell, crabeater and elephant seals, skuas and other seabirds as well as an enthralling abundance of penguins including large colonies of the comical Adélie penguin. We find ourselves delving into our expedition field photography programme as well as our hiking, snow-shoeing, sea kayaking, and ski touring programs. Once along the peninsula we plan to launch our overnight kayaking experience.
We also look for a possible campsite and assemble our tents for the wonderful experience of camping in Antarctica. All of these great activities run alongside our regular schedule of zodiac cruising, hikes on shore, visits to wildlife
colonies, historic huts and science bases.

We reluctantly leave this wonderland and head back to South America. We chart a course for the fabled landmark of Cape Horn, respected by sailors throughout the ages. As we join in
a celebratory Captain’s dinner we will happily
spend the evening reflecting on the fabulous
experience we have shared.

By early morning we arrive into Ushuaia. Transfer tor the airport for onward journey.
