Itinerary

This evening, board VIA Rail’s ‘Canadian’ for the
famous train journey to the majestic Canadian
Rockies. Enjoy complimentary beverages and
canapes in the Dome where you will experience
the true essence of travelling by train as a
panoramic scene sweeps by.

By lunch you begin your passage into the
Canadian Rockies with views of snow-capped
peaks, waterfalls and the expansive glaciers of
the Albreda Icefields. Late afternoon arrival in to
Jasper and transfer to your hotel.

Today is free to explore Jasper before departing
this evening for some amazing close-up photo
opportunities of wildlife.

Travel by coach along the incredibly scenic
Icefields Parkway. Ride the Ice Explorer on
the Athabasca glacier, part of the Columbia
Icefield covering nearly 325 sq km, then stop
at the Glacier Skywalk to walk across the glass
floor 280m over valleys and waterfalls. Many
scenic and hopefully wildlife stops will be made,
including for a picnic lunch. Afterwards you will
arrive at your hotel in stunning Lake Louise.

Depart Lake Louise mid-morning for a short
drive via the scenic Bow Valley to Banff, arriving
midday. Afternoon at leisure.

Tour the town and its picturesque surroundings.
End the tour with a breathtaking ascent to
the pinnacle of Sulphur Mountain for an awe
inspiring 360-degree panorama of sheer
mountain majesty.

Morning to explore then take the coach to
Calgary, leaving the Rockies and entering the
Great Central Plains that roll to the east for
2000km and extend as far south as Mexico.
Afternoon drop-off at Calgary airport or
downtown hotels.
