Itinerary

Welcome at Delhi Airport and transfer to hotel. The rest of the day is free to explore.

Explore Old and New Delhi, visiting the Jama Masjid, Chandni Chowk, Qutb Minar and Gurudwara Bangla Sahib – the
largest Sikh Temple in Delhi., and the India Gate, . (B)

Drive south to Agra. In the afternoon
visit Agra Fort and the Taj Mahal, often called
‘a dream in marble’ and representing the
peak of Persian funeral architecture. If you
wish, you can stay for the sunset. (B)

South of Agra are the imperial ruins of
Fatehpur Sikri, Akbar’s erstwhile capital, in a
remarkable state of preservation. After your
visit continue to Jaipur. In the evening enjoy a
stroll through the night bazaar. (B)

Visit the colourful flower and vegetable
markets and continue to the magnificent
Amber Fort. In the afternoon see the Hawa
Mahal, visit the excellent City Palace Museum
and see the Jantar Mantar observatory. (B)

A long day’s drive brings you to the
lakeside city of Udaipur. (B)

Visit the splendid City Palace, Jaqdish
Temple and the gardens of Saheliyon-Ki-Bari.
Afternoon at leisure to explore further. (B)

Drive north to Jodhpur, via Ranakpur,
where you stop to visit the extensive Jain
temple complex. You reach Jodhpur in the
late afternoon. (B)

The exquisite Meherengarh Fort towers above the ‘blue city’ of Jodhpur and is its undoubted highlight, with numerous grand halls and reception rooms. Later, there’s time to explore the bazaar. (B)

Drive to Jaisalmer, located on the
western extremity of the arid Thar Desert.
This fortress town is one of Rajasthan’s most
exotic and unusual destinations. (B)

Visit Jaisalmer Fort, see the beautiful,
historic havelis (mansions) and take a stroll
through the winding streets inside the fort.
The afternoon is free to explore further. (B)

Drive to Bikaner, once a major
trading post noted for its beautiful
architecture. Enjoy a horse-cart ride into the
old town seeing many fine buildings and the
majestic Junagarh Fort. (B)

Drive to the quaint village of Alsisar,
in the heart of Shekhawati region, boasting
some of the finest frescoes and painted
havelis in the region. (B)

Drive back to Delhi. End of tour. (B)
