PANTANAL WILDLIFE SAFARI
South America's richest, and best, wildlife viewing area
PANTANAL WILDLIFE SAFARI
PANTANAL
4 Days

The Amazon has much better PR than the Pantanal, but don’t let that fool you, or prevent you discovering fabulous secret that is The Pantanal.
The Pantanal is the world’s largest wetlands at 210,000 sq km (yep four 0’s), has few towns, even less people, and a huge array of wildlife. Vegetation is less dense than in the Amazon so animal viewing is much easier.
A twitcher’s paradise and the best place for jaguar spotting, this less famous region could become your favourite please in Brazil.
This stay at Rio Mutum will fully immerse you in nature and its wildlife giving you a great opportunity to observe the huge biodiversity of the Pantanal.
The lodge is in one of the most beautiful regions of the Pantanal. Activities include hiking trails and horse riding through thick jungle and wetlands. Boat cruises along pristine rivers and lakes, giving you the chance to observe the great biodiversity of the Pantanal

Seasons:
During the Dry Season (May to September), small water pools shelter a large diversity of wildlife that is the food supply of many species of birds – many of them migratory from all over the world.
In the Wet Season (October to April) about 80% of the floodplains are submerged and its few non-flooded areas host many mammals that find shelter there for the period.
