Itinerary

You will be picked up at the airport and transferred to Sundog Retreat where you will be given a guided tour to Sundog Retreat. Your private cottage awaits you under the brilliant skies outside the glare of city lights. You will stop at the grocery store on the way to your cottage. Snacks and beverages greet your arrival, no matter what time of day or night.
Daytime wildlife sightings include deer, moose, birds, foxes and rabbits right outside your window.
Your package includes delicious home cooked meals for warming in your private kitchen – starting with dinner on your arrival night.
You’ll have warm winter gear waiting in your cottage – a parka, snowpants, cold weather boots, hat and mitts designed for cold winter nights under the northern lights. When darkness falls, view the northern aurora from your cottage or from the heated aurora viewing centre, complete with outdoor campfire space. If the aurora are quiet you can enjoy a dazzling display of constellations with a telescope or your naked eye under
the stars. Watch the aurora from the outdoor hot tub, or warm up from the cold in the indoor sauna. Let yourself experience the quiet of a northern night away from the city.
These aurora viewing options are available each night during your stay.

Sleep in this morning. At 10.00am your city tour starts. The tour includes Main Street, the Train Depot of the White Pass and the Yukon Route, the Log Skyscraper, the Log Church, the Sternwheeler SS Klondike, the fish ladder, Schwatka Lake and some residential areas. This afternoon is free to relax before departing at 9.30pm for more Aurora viewing. Again, hot drinks and snacks are provided in a warm-up cabin. You can sit around a roaring fire and share stories with fellow travellers. Return to hotel around 2.00 am.

After a long evening the night before you have the day to relax and enjoy Whitehorse on your own before you depart for Aurora viewing at 9.30pm in the evening. Return to hotel around 2.00am.
