Europe

Europe is a banquet for all travellers!
A feast of flavours, a bouquet of beauty, a haven of history and hiking, and a whirlwind of wonders.
It is no wonder we, along with so many travellers, love it!
All of us at Forward Travel have lived there, some of us where born there and we have all travelled through it extensively.
This means we can give you great advice on where to go, what to see and what to do (or not do) to go beyond the tourist trail and really immerse yourself in a European journey.
We know you can all organise flights to London, book a hotel in Paris and drive around Ireland, so we want to delve deeper and give you ideas beyond the first or second visit and find places to go on the third or fourth visit. Somewhere different to add when visiting family, or to find something new and different after reliving some favourite places.
We focus on the north, Scotland, Scandinavia, Iceland, the wildlife of the Arctic and the remoteness of the North Atlantic Islands. We have a fondness for Spain as well.
We can help you find the right hiking trails along the Camino, the perfect pasta in Puglia, maybe a cruise in Croatia, or when to walk the Charles Bridge in Prague.
When you have done the 10 countries in 10 days and know where you want to go back to, or want to know where else you can go to, we can show you more. We’re waiting for your call.

Iceland
Iceland is where glaciers reach for the skies, deep blue mountain lakes fill steep valleys, sharp green peaks rise on all sides.
Hidden hot springs in secluded valleys far from civilisation will relax and calm you as you take in the spectacular views. You can tour the island in comfort or go trekking, ice climbing, jeep riding, or jump on an Icelandic horse.
With no boundaries on skill levels or experience, our Iceland journeys let you really experience the island’s beauty and landscapes.

Scotland
For a small country, Scotland has made a very big impact and continues to progress and pioneer. The Scottish warmth and generosity are renowned around the world, from pristine beaches to crumbling castles, exciting cultural attractions and ancient heritage, Scotland has it all.
Go and find out more. We promise you won’t be disappointed.

Norwegian Arctic - Svalbard
Svalbard is a more compact destination so you don’t need to cruise far to see scenery, history and wildlife. Located less than 1,000km from the North Pole, it is the best place for polar bears.
We focus on the north and west, being the most interesting, diverse and wildlife rich parts of the archipelago.

Faroe Islands
It’s okay if you don’t know where the Faroe Islands are. To be honest, it’s not all that strange, seeing as the total land mass of the 18 islands is 6,500 times smaller than the USA, and the population is 28,000 times smaller than China’s.
The fact you don’t know where they are proves that although the planet has been well charted, there are still new discoveries to be made.

Ireland
Ireland’s landscape takes your breath away, but you pick it up again and can chat away for hours with the warmth of the people.
From Europe’s largest green space to the longest defined coastal touring route in the world, Ireland is a country brimming with fun and fascinating ways to spend your days.
Discover just the right mountain to climb, painting to pore over, sports team to cheer on, or whatever else takes your fancy.
