ESSENTIAL NORTH INDIA
ESSENTIAL NORTH INDIA
Jaipur, Agra, Khajuraho and Varanasi
11 Days

A memorable journey ‘across the top’, including Jaipur, Agra, Khajuraho and Varanasi.

APART FROM THE PERENNIALLY POPULAR STATE OF RAJASTHAN, THERE ARE MANY OTHER FASCINATING REGIONS TO EXPLORE.

Uttar Pradesh, in particular, boasts a number of important sites including Agra and the holy city of Varanasi (Benares). In between, in Madya Pradesh, the Chandela dynasty chose the small village Khajuraho as the site for a temple complex that has no parallel. Of the 85 sanctuaries built between 950 and 1050AD, just 22 survive.

The food of the north is very distinctive, with both vegetarian and ‘non-veg’ choices. Popular dishes include samosas, biryani, korma, kofta, as well as many types of gram (dhal) and breads.
