Wander the ancient city and get ready to walk.

Early morning drive through the Sacred Valley takes you to your trailhead at kilometre 82. Hike through the Urubamba canyon to see Llactapata, on the banks of the Kusichaca side river. A 5 hour climb takes you to your camp site at Wayllabamba.

Climb the Llullucha valley then cross the rim of a small plateau, to arrive in the grasslands of the high Andes. Spectacular views of the sweeping snowcapped peaks and valleys. Descend to the forested Pacaymayo valley to camp.

Full of Inca sites (and staircases) including the ruins of Sayacmarca, perched precariously overlooking the Aobamba valley. Walk in the cloud forest to gaze down on Phuyupatamarca, and explore the wondrous maze of Inca towers, fountains and stairways. Camp by Wiñay Wayna, the most exquisite of the Inca Trail sites.

An early morning hike to and through Sun Gate to feast your eyes on the unforgettable natural beauty and human artistry of Machu Picchu. Walk into the heart of the citadel and explore on your guided tour.
