Itinerary

Welcome at Delhi airport and transfer to hotel. Rest of day at leisure.

Watch the old merge seamlessly with the new as you explore Old and New Delhi in today’s tour. Visit the Jama Masjid, explore gullies of Old Delhi from Red Fort till Jama Masjid through the Chandni Chowk market on a bicycle rickshaw before visiting Mahatma Gandhi’s memorial Advance to New Delhi with the majestic Qutab Minar, visit Humayun’s tomb and drive past India Gate and Government monuments.

Get your first look at Rajasthan’s vast Thar desert and its shape-shifting sand dunes today as you reach Churu. In the afternoon, visit the fresco-painted Havelis of this place, specifically the Kanhaiya Lal Bagla and Surana Haveli, each having hundreds of small windows – a photographer’s delight.

Get unbeatable desert views when you proceed to your next stop, the Khimsar Fort. Explore the quaint village of Khimsar and the surroundings of the Fort when you stroll here this evening. Enjoy the unique experience of staying in a fort tonight.

Today, we leave for the Sam Sand Dunes, our next stop. The Manvar Tented Desert Camp is right in the middle of the desert – best place to watch sand dunes from the luxury of your tented camp. Enjoy a camel ride over the sand dunes before you return to your tent to sleep.

After Breakfast at the Camp, enjoy a day at leisure watching life as it happens in the desert. Else, take our optional tour to Jaisalmer and visit the Jaisalmer Fort and Havelis.

Today, we advance to Jodhpur, stopping to visit the Osian Temple complex on the way. This complex houses the ruins of Hindu and Jain temples from 8th to 11th century; of these, the Sun Temple, the Sachiya Mata Temple and the Mahavira Temple are outstanding architectural wonders. Proceed to Jodhpur, and after checking in, walk through the colourful bazaar with shops selling textiles, jewellery, leather products and souvenirs.

This day is dedicated to exploring the glory of Jodhpur through its grand Mehrangarh Fort and the lovely Jaswant Thada. Enjoy lovely CONDITIONS views from the ornate Jaswant Thada before returning to your hotel.

Today, we leave for Udaipur, stopping at the Jain Temples of Ranakpur – a revered pilgrimage centre. Built in the 15th century, this temple complex is dedicated to Adinatha; made of pristine marble, this place is a photographer’s delight.

Discover Udaipur in a guided tour starting with the City Palace with its courtyards and hanging gardens; proceed to the Jagdish Temple and watch an interesting collection of local arts at Bharatiya Lok Kala Mandir. In the evening, enjoy a scenic boat ride on the Lake Picola with its stunning island palaces.

Advance to Barli, and check-in at the Barli Fort. This 3-century year old monument is now a hotel with plenty of history. Later, ride a bullock cart to explore the village, its vibrant market, houses and a mirror-temple. You can observe local craftsmen at their work and see how they create lovely leather products.

An important stop at Pushkar, and off to Jaipur we go. The captivating pilgrimage town of Pushkar is always lively, but gets exceptionally dynamic during the Pushkar Fair held annually. Visit the holy lake and the Brahma Temple. Proceed to Jaipur, visit the Birla Temple to see the evening Aarti accompanied by hymns.

Guided tour of Jaipur today starting with an enjoyable elephant ride to Amber Fort from the foot of the hillock. Later, visit the City Palace, drive past Hawa Mahal and see the Jantar Mantar Observatory.

Today, we leave for Agra with a stop at the abandoned city of Fatehpur Sikhri. Designed with utmost care by Emperor Akbar to be made as his capital city, Fatehpur Sikhri, unfortunately had to be abandoned due to acute water shortage. Proceed to Agra, and after checking in, visit the massive Agra Fort with its palaces, gardens and administrative buildings.

Get treated to the incredible sight of the sun rising over the Taj. Early morning is perfect to see the Taj Mahal – the universal symbol of love. Explore this poetry in marble and let your camera take over as you walk through the Taj. Later, proceed to Delhi from where you can board your train to Amritsar.

A fascinating day as you visit the Golden Temple and the Wagah Border of Amritsar. The Golden Temple is open to all and is captivating not only because of its grand gold façade, but also the hospitality and culture that lures thousands of visitors every day. Proceed to see the Jallianwala Bagh and Ramtirth Temple before you go to Wagah Border to see the closing ceremony. Watch the lowering of flags ceremony across the border between India and Pakistan accompanied by fervent patriotic cries on both sides.
